From The Kenford Fineshoes Staff on Monday, January 22, 2024

Thank you for visiting our online store. This time we'll be talking about Kenford's flagship model, "Black Paisley Loafers," which we recently restocked. We will also share information about Snaps and how to care for them, so if you already own them, are about to start wearing them, or are considering purchasing the next batch, please take a look.

Based on a classic loafer, the voluminous silhouette with a high and wide instep goes well with bottoms with a rough silhouette. All designs of Kenford loafers use this silhouette, so be sure to check out items other than paisley loafers and get your favorite loafers.

The next arrival of paisley loafers is scheduled for February. We are currently experiencing a shortage of products, but we are producing them daily at our Japanese factory, so please be patient.

SHOE CARE FOR BLACK PAISLEY

Lastly, I would like to share about the care of paisley loafers.
There are individual differences in the size and frequency of wearing, but shortly after you start wearing them, the edge around the instep will open up to accommodate the bending of your foot. This is one of the changes in loafers that many people perceive as a taste because it creates a rough and rough impression. On the other hand, the part where it opens exposes the back side of the leather (beige), so some people are naturally concerned about it. In such a case, applying a cream and applying a complementary color will make it less noticeable.

As shown in the photo, apply a complementary color of black shoe cream to the open areas. The opening of the leather is evidence that the shoe is bending with the movement of the foot.
Kenford's loafers don't feel stiff from the start, and because they bend easily from the beginning, the leather can be said to open easily.
By applying black cream several times to the open areas, the color will be applied in no time, so please give it a try.

How to choose shoe cream

In this blog, I used Columbus Shoe Cream, but you can also use the shoe cream sold at 100 yen shops (left) to clean your shoes.
By the way, the staff at Kenford love the cream ``1909 Supreme Cream Deluxe'' (right) from the German brand Coronil, and we bought it completely on the cover.

If you look into it, there is a lot of information out there about shoe care, but put that aside for a moment and choose your favorite cream based on your intuition. We recommend such a rough way of getting along!
